    This congregation was commenced by Gerald Pace in the early 70’s and first commenced meeting on the outskirts of Launceston at Dilston. It was then known as the Northern church of Christ. However, since the early 80’s it has been meeting at its current location at Balfour Street, and has changed its name to more accurately reflect its meeting location. Recently the church moved to Longford and is known as the Midland Church of Christ. Currently, Glen Tattersall serves as the full-time preacher.

    Amongst its work, the congregation supplies World Video Bible School material to brethren in the Australian brotherhood. VHS tape copies are available for individuals an congregations, and DVDs are available for both individuals and church libraries. The congregation regularly has one or two gospel meetings per year. For the past six years a display booth at the Royal Launceston Show has been maintained. The congregation also hosts an annual one intercongregational workshop.
